Michael is a Director of MjBConsulting, a bespoke business consultancy that helps companies grow sustainably.

Michael is actively engaged in shaping environmental policy and leading industry in adopting to sustainability initiatives. He is currently supporting initiatives on alternative treatment technologies for regulated medical waste; repurposing organic waste streams; and alternative proteins development.

For over 25 years Michael has provided sectoral leadership in specialised nutrition, food and agriculture, environment, and climate change. As President of the International Special Dietary Foods Industry Body ISDI, he led the Global Specialised Nutrition Industry at the World Health Organisation, Codex Alimentarius and in the UN Committee for Food Security.

In industry, Michael served as Global Director for Regulatory Policy within a multinational organisation and as Commercial Director in Agritech during which time he supported the development of a 15,000-cow dairy herd in China, and the development and implementation of Ireland’s Quality Assurance Scheme, Origin Green.

Michael lives in Kildare where he spends his spare time coaching GAA and Soccer in his local Kilcullen clubs.
