Closing Date

Closing date for receipt of electronic versions of poster – March 23rd 2022. Shortlisted posters will be displayed at the Conference on April 06. All shortlisted entries will receive a complimentary ticket to the conference where you will present your poster to the judging panel at the  poster exhibition. Templates are available for download at the bottom of the page.

Categories 

  1. Operational Excellence

The award for the company with the best Operational Excellence project will be presented to the overall winner.

  1. Advanced Manufacturing

The award for the company with the best Advanced Manufacturing project will be presented to the overall winner

  1. Manufacturing Sustainability

The award for the company with the best Manufacturing Sustainability project will be presented to the overall winner

  1. Best Company Implementation Programme for Apprenticeships – Polymer Technology or Manufacturing

The award for the company that has demonstrated the best implementation of an in-company Apprenticeship Programme in either Polymer Technology or Manufacturing will be presented to the overall winner

Note: Only one entry will be accepted per company for each category.

 

Poster Content and language

For consistency we have provided three template options (see below) for you using the format DMAIC /PDCA/A3 Format for the Op Ex and Advanced Manufacturing posters. For the Manufacturing Sustainability category PDCA format is the option provided.

A sample template and guideline (see below) is also provided for the Best Company Implementation Programme for Apprenticeships poster. Company name, logo, project name, team name and team members must be at the top of the poster.

The poster can use pictures/illustrations as appropriate. The minimum point size used must be 20pt.

Poster Size Posters must be single-panel

A1 Landscape (841mm x 594mm )size in portrait format

 

Cost

Costs of producing and printing the poster are the responsibility of the company. Competition entry includes one presenter place at the conference. Any subsequent delegates need to pay and book online.

 

Poster Set up at the event

All shortlisted presenters will receive instructions by email on on setting up their poster. On arrival at the venue you will be given a location for your poster and velcro tabs will be provided. Your poster will need to be in place by 8.00am on the morning of April 6th and you will need to be present during the coffee/lunch breaks to present to delegates and the judges.

Your electronic copy of the poster must be emailed to ali.okeefe@ibec.ie by March 23  detailing in the subject line the category you are entering.

 

Display time

08.00am Thursday 06 April– 5.00pm Thursday 06 April

Judges will visit for poster presentation between 12.00pm and 2.00pm so you will specifically need to be available during this time.

 

Presence to discuss poster

The poster sessions will be open during all the networking breaks. The judges will visit for poster presentation between 12.00pm and 2.00pm so you will specifically need to be online during this time.

 

Competition Entry

Please inform Ibec Business Sectors of your intention to enter a poster in the competition.

Firstly please detail the category you will enter by email to ali.okeefe@ibec.ie

You are then required to send an electronic copy of your poster detailing in the subject line the category you are entering to ali.okeefe@ibec.ie  by closing date March 23rd 2022.
